Welcome to Hobbie Grading Company. By submitting cards to us for grading or using any of our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

Hobbie Grading Company offers authentication, grading, labeling, encapsulation (slabbing), and return shipping of sports cards and trading card game (TCG) items. We use a 10-point grading scale, with “Gem Mint 10” being the highest grade and “A” designating cards that are authentic but ungradable.

We do not grade autographed cards that have been signed in person and are not certified by the manufacturer or a reputable third-party authenticator.

2. Submitting Cards

By submitting your cards, you acknowledge that:

  • You are the legal owner or have the right to submit the cards.

  • You accept the risks associated with mailing and handling of collectibles.

  • You agree to the grading decisions made by our team, which are final.

We reserve the right to reject submissions that are counterfeit, altered, or deemed inappropriate for grading.

3. Grading Disclaimer

Grading is a subjective process. While Hobbie Grading Company strives for consistency and accuracy, we make no guarantees that our grades will align with those of other grading companies. Cards are graded based on visual inspection and industry standards.

We do not guarantee future value, resale potential, or investment returns based on the assigned grade.

4. Turnaround Times

Estimated turnaround times are not guaranteed and may vary due to order volume, card complexity, or other factors beyond our control.

5. Limitation of Liability

Hobbie Grading Company is not liable for:

  • Damage or loss due to improper shipping by the customer

  • Damage that occurs during transit via third-party carriers

  • Any loss of value, opportunity, or resale potential related to our grading services

Our total liability for any claim, whether in contract or tort, is limited to the amount paid for the specific grading service.

6. Return Shipping

We take great care in packaging and shipping your graded cards. Once handed over to the shipping carrier, responsibility for delivery lies with the carrier. Tracking information will be provided when available.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including logos, branding, grading labels, and designs, are the property of Hobbie Grading Company and may not be used or reproduced without permission.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Kentucky. Any disputes arising out of our services shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction in Kentucky.

9. Changes to Terms

Hobbie Grading Company reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
